Forward Thinking.

A modern constitution that protects rights, strengthens peace, and builds a stable foundation for investment, and opportunity for every Sierra Leonean. Our reform is built on three pillars that reflect the future Sierra Leone deserves.

Peace

A nation where rights are protected and institutions are stable.

Economic Growth

A clear legal foundation for investment, jobs, and fair resource management

Generational Progress

A constitution that prepares young people for a modern and global future.

What The Reform Does

The new constitution strengthens rights, protects citizens from discrimination, clarifies land ownership, improves justice delivery, deepens decentralisation, strengthens our local councils, and guarantees education for all. These reforms are based on years of national consultations and accepted CRC recommendations.

What the Reform Does Not Do

While the reform introduces improvements, it does not alter certain existing structures and responsibilities. Below are the areas that fall outside the scope of this reform:

It does not create new ethnic, regional or political divisions
Reform does not
It does not expand executive power
Reform does not
It does not alter land ownership customs.
Reform does not
It does not weaken traditional leadership.
Reform does not
The reform does not change or extend presidential term limits

How It Affects You

For every citizen, young and old, men and women, chiefs, business owners, and market women, each reform area is connected to real, daily concerns such as education, safety, economic opportunity, and access to justice.
